A long-time and unwelcome staple of
Windows operating systems, the Blue Screen of Death (or BSOD) may signal
a short- or long-term problem with either hardware or software.
Incompatible drivers, software, hardware or faulty hardware may cause
the Blue Screen error to appear. Due to the wide range of causes for the
Blue Screen of Death, troubleshooting and fixing it may take up to
several days and require replacement hardware.
